Vacumetrics Sales and Service Terms and Conditions
Vacumetrics specializes in the sale and service of helium leak detectors and related equipment, including vacuum pumps for ultra-high vacuum applications and turbo molecular pumps, gauges, bellows interconnects and other parts and consumables used in the detection of leaks. All products and services are intended for use in industrial and research settings that require precision leak detection and vacuum technologies.
Prices for products and services are provided at the time of quotation and are valid for the period specified in the quote.
Payment terms are NET 30 days from the invoice date, upon receipt of credit references and completed credit review and approval, unless otherwise specified in writing.
For new customers or large orders, a deposit may be required upon order confirmation. Payment may be made by company check, ACH transfer or major credit card.
Vacumetrics warrants to the original purchaser of equipment that it will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of 12 months. New equipment sold by Vacumetrics may also include a manufacturer’s standard warranty greater than 12 months covering parts and labor for defects in material and workmanship. Warranty details vary by manufacturer and will be provided at the time of sale.
Vacumetrics at it’s sole discretion shall (i) replace the defective product, (ii)repair the defective product, or (iii) take back the product and refund any monies paid, less a reasonable allowance for use.
Vacumetrics liability under this warranty shall cease if any major modifications have been made to said product or if the product has not been properly maintained in compliance with the manufacturers instructions.
All warranty claims shall be submitted directly to Vacumetrics, who will honor the warranty as stated and will coordinate with the manufacturer for a resolution if necessary.
EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT EXPRESSLY SET FORTH ABOVE, VACUMETRICS MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR OTHER WARRANTY OF QUALITY.
All service work performed by Vacumetrics is warranted against defects in workmanship for a period of six months from the service date.
This warranty covers parts and labor but excludes damage due to misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications.
Warranty claims for service should be reported to Vacumetrics within the warranty period for resolution.
Buyer agrees and acknowledges that the equipment, service, or technology are sold in accordance with U.S. Export Administration Regulations. Buyer agrees to ascertain and comply with all applicable export and re-export obligations and restrictions, including without limitation, U.S. export and re-export controls and economic sanctions regulations. Diversion of the Products contrary to U.S. law is strictly prohibited.
Returns for unused equipment in original packaging may be accepted within 30 days of delivery, subject to a restocking fee. Special order items and custom-configured equipment are not eligible for return.
Refunds for approved returns will be processed within 30 days of receipt of the returned item(s).
Vacumetrics is not liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of the equipment sold or serviced, including but not limited to lost profits, downtime, or damage to property.
Our liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective equipment or service, as covered under the applicable warranty.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts located within Massachusetts. In the event that any of these terms and conditions are declared illegal, unenforceable, or contrary to law, it shall not affect other provisions of these terms and conditions.
Vacumetrics reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will apply to orders placed after the date of posting. These terms and conditions are not assignable by buyer without prior written consent.
